Running with the Garmin Forerunner
Hello!
I thought I’d talk about two things I’ve been using in my running so far: a running watch and the shoes I’m using.
I did a lot of research and read reviews on the Garmin Forerunner 235 and it is the watch I ended up going with. It tracks your heart rate, and can even tell you your VO2Max, which is really cool. It even gives race time predictions after you’ve run for at least 10 minutes outside with it (which I have yet to do – it has been cold here in Omaha in the mornings when I run, and have been on the treadmill with it so far). It also tells you cool stats, like your cadence, max heart rate while working out, average pace, all sorts of goodies. I’ve loved it so far! I honestly couldn’t imagine running without it. And the battery life is great, I can go days without it needing a charge. If you are serious about running, I’d certainly recommend checking it out – I’ll leave a link below.

For running shoes, I am using the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit running shoes. So far, they have been incredibly comfortable! It feels like running on soft pine needles. They almost feel like they vanish on your feet, and I like how there is no tongue – it feels like a sock on the upper part of the shoe, really just disappears. I have used them on the treadmill and outdoors, and no matter where I’ve run with them, the experience has been amazing. I never want to take them off, running or not!

Alrighty folks, that is all for this post! Feel free to hit me up on Twitter (@adamcarter) or leave a comment, with any questions on anything I talked about, or if you have any advice for me! See you next time!
